Good Morning!!!
Knowing Christ
And this is why I am suffering as I do. Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day. 2Timothy 1:12
Knowing Christ must be the desirable part of all of us. In life when we walk in the midst of rattling circumstances and when God did not promise a trouble free life, knowing Christ keeps us cool in the midst of heat.
Paul knew Christ. It was not a shallow knowledge, it was not a theological knowledge, but it was a personal, intimate understanding of Christ. Christ was communicated to him personally. He knew with certainty who Christ was. Hence he treated all his accomplishments as an inferior stuff, a trash. He regarded all as nothing compared to the delight of experiencing and knowing Christ . Paul was bold, fearless and courageous. He was confident that he was in God's hand.
He knew the one whom he wanted to know.
Dear friends, there is no easy Street . An easy Street is a dead street! The central complaint in Hosea 4:1 was that Israel didn't know God!
Today we are not in lack of information of Christ. But information remains as mere information but knowing Christ is life and deliverance.
In this uncertain world know Christ through the word of God. The word of God stands secure. It brings near to God.
An unknown Christ is not an object of Faith. But a known Christ is peace, rest, protection, health, a transformation and a renewed life. You can now freely, confidently entrust, deposit, give Christ the responsibility to take care of your future, your needs and desire. In turn God will guard, preserve, He will keep in custody and like a soldier will watch what you have entrusted to Him.
Let your cup overflow with peace and rest that comes from knowing Christ. Amen!!
